Philosophy and Mission
The mission and philosophy of Chester Upland School District is to facilitate the development of a student’s potential through their intellectual, social-emotional and physical development. This philosophy and mission is rooted in the district’s theory of action that focuses on strengthening instruction for students through a shared vision for student results, meeting about the work and using diagnostic data that supports accountable collaboration (Wagner and Kegan, 2006).
